reopen the return request after closing it

Hi, i opened the return request as the item doesn’t work and let the seller know that i am gonna return it. Later I received the message from the seller asking me to cancel the return request as this request is only made when the seller doesn’t want to refund it so i closed it, then i realized that it is impossible to reopen the return.  Is there anything i can do if the seller refuses sending me the refund? Thanks

Since you mistakenly closed the Return Request, you will need to file a dispute through Paypal or your credit card company.

Sometimes eBay can intervene depending on what the messages from the seller say - and how/why they asked you to close it. You can ask eBay CS about it - only they have the final say whether or not it can be reopened.
