refund

You do not have to refund without receiving the item back. No one should get anything fro free.

If a buyer opens a not as described return, accept the return and have eBay issue a return label. Do not refund until returned.

If you sell with no returns, buyers are more likely to lie about the reason. Returns are part of selling online, there is really no way around it. What you need to do is find ways to minimize the returns. Good photos, good descriptions, good packaging and timely shipping all help make happy buyers.

Sellers who are very confident in their products and selling practices offer free returns. Then of the buyer returns an item in a different condition, you have the ability to reduce the refund.
