So I got scammed out of $1000 and the scammers lured me into buying eBay gift cards. Is there a way to get that money back? I bought 5 seperate gift cards, each totalling $200. eBay money back guarantee should be put in place correct? I mean the scammers posed as eBay and had be BUY eBay gift cards so it was linked to eBay in that way. I NEED HELP IM ABOUT TO BECOME HOMELESS BECAUSE THAT WAS MONEY I WAS USING TO BUY A NEW TRAVEL TRAILER TO USE AS TEMP HOUSING. NOW IDK WHAT TO DO. I have all the proof and everything. Hi,  I am trying to switch my method of payment for purchasing shipping labels. I am currently using a paypal account and want to switch my payment method to a different paypal account I have set up for my business. I have already updated my "Automatic Payment Preferences" and it will now pay for seller fees and my store subscription out of the correct account, but it still pays for the shipping labels from my old account. anyone else ever have this issue? I have called ebay about it once already but they just told me to update my "automatic payment method" which i did again but still the same issue. I listed a Nikon body yesterday and immediately received a full price offer to buy it.  It was very fishy from the start.  The buyer texted me to ask me for my email saying he needed it to pay me via paypal.  First, I don't know how he got me cell number.  Thought that was private.  I naively texted him my email address and then received the attached email, supposedly from Paypal.  He then texted to say he wanted me to ship the camera to his brother in Lagos Nigeria for a birthday present.  I immediately stopped communicating with him.  I have cancelled the transaction.   Is this happening often on ebay these days.  I am not an active seller.  Please give me any helpful feedback on how to handle this better next time.  Thank you. ... I have a BIN listing of a higher-ticket item ($850) in which I was accepting offers. I received an offer (not BIN) for the BIN price from a zero-feedback buyer on eBay, account created immediately prior to making the offer. I received a $.01 request in my PayPal account from an unknown entity, which I cancelled. Shortly thereafter, the buyer performed a contact request in eBay, so they received my phone number, and texted me directly, asking to confirm my PayPal account for payment. The shipping zip code of the buyer is on one side of the country, and the number that I received the text from is on the other side of the country.   Are my concerns about moving forward unfounded? Or should I proceed as expected, confirm my PayPal address with the textor, and ship if/when the PayPal transaction is completed and marked as Eligible for Seller Protection? ... View more

I placed an order for a PS4 controller from bak532.  Delivery was missed, no shipping info was given and no communications from the seller.  I now see that there are multiple negative feedback entries indicating never delivered.   To the point.  When I try to open a case, I get a screen that says: We're sorry there's an issue with this purchase. Unfortunately, we're unable to open a case for this item because of a possible payment issue. I'll try to make this short.   I bought some batteries that were supposed to be a certain model (of which I own many).  It turned out that they were not what they were advertized to be, so I requested a refund.  After a few messages back and forth (they never disputed my claim that they were counterfeit), they gave me a full refund.  I was willing to send them back (at my expense for shipping), but they said they would rather I gave them a 5 star rating.   Is this legal, per eBay's rules?  I don't feel that I should be leaving 5 stars to someone who makes false claims in their ad.  I got my money back, but I don't want to "pass the buck" to the next poor sucker that is trying to by something as specific as me.  Also, the claims they make could cause the battery to be used in a situation that is unsafe (as in: explosive).   Thanks   ... Hello everyone. I recently contacted an individual who, I thought was local, but turns out she is living in Omaha, Nebraska.  Her daughter, located in Pheonix is helping her sell a 2013 Kia through eBay ( supposedly).  The seller contacted me this morning to say the car is located in eBay warehouse in Omaha, NE HQS.  She says ther car would ship in 2-3 days and I will have 5 days to inspect the car.  She says eBay will hold the funds until I get the car, paperwork, and decided whether I want to keep the car.  At that point of acceptance eBay would release the funds to her.  The transaction would be completed.     Has anyone had a similiar experience?  I have never purchased an automobile on eBay and unsure as to how it works.  This transaction just doesn't fell right to me and do not want to get caught up in a scam.  Your speed reply is appreciated because this whole thing is happening now.  Thanks again!  RTRUNR ...
