I have been targeted by the same porch pirate twice in the last month (both new Amazon orders). I've been searching classifieds, marketplaces, and eBay to try and find my stolen items and possibly ID this creep. I have a decent lead on a guy, but his location is listed in a different state, both on eBay and Facebook Marketplace (same location for both eBay and FB). I'm wondering if it's possible for sellers to use fake locations to appear they live in other states, making it more difficult to track them down with stolen items. This would be tricky when it comes to shipping time and you have to create a shipping label with the bogus state listed, but I figure there are other ways to deal with that. For what it's worth, many things seem out of place with this guy's accounts: very limited information/data, a mixture of used items that seem legit (mostly golf equipment, athletic shoes, etc.) as well as a very random assortment of new items that could easily be stolen items ... none of the new items fit together at all, even for eBay (I've seen how random many sellers' stores can be). If I could figure out if it's possible for this guy to be faking his location (within the US), that would be a huge lead. Otherwise, I can rule him out and let him go about selling his extremely random stuff in that other state. Thanks
