I received this tonight. I take it than when i go to read what I can and cannot list. I look under this here policy.
"Your account has been restricted because activity on it didn't follow our Prescription and over-the-counter drugs policy. Prescription drugs, or drugs containing prescription-strength medication, are not allowed."
I get that , no prescription drugs. Item I listed was just a larger container size of an item i have had listed on ebay for well over one year. I actually just changed picture and container size ect. Description the same. There are zero prescription drugs in this product.
It then tells me what I did wrong? Thought I listed over the counter prescription drugs. No, I did this.
"You listed an item marketed towards curing, preventing, or treating an illness that has not been evaluated and approved by the FDA. Due to concerns by the FDA, items marketed in this way are not allowed. We appreciate that you chose to utilize our site, and are welcome to relist as long as you remove all unsubstantiated claims. " So is it that big of an issue that it requires a restriction on my listings? Listing rules need to be black and white. Not as interpreted as. I can relist product just remove some claims. I actually don't think i have had any products removed for this reason. however that prescription drug policy seems to be an large umbrella for a lot .
Just when i think i have figured out what is required with these listing requirements/rules. It seems as part A section 235 paragraph 8f pops up and i have broken another rule. On a product that I have had listed for over a year. Just started offering it up in a larger size. I have been scared to death of offering new products on ebay just for this very reason. I have lost track of how many times over the past six months I have had a listing removed for a variant of this/these rules. This is item I am referring to eBay item number:255527700083.
Seems to me that every product I have listed makes a claim of some sort. I have listings that do have a prescription drug as an ingredient. How much of that drug in the product requires it to be listed differently is a question that no one so far has been able to answer for me at ebay. Everyone i have spoken with at ebay comes across as giving there opinion, we all know what opinions are like. So far it is not steering me the correct direction. Seems to me that ebay should be able to go through my listings and nail me for what ever they are going to nail me for and then leave things alone. Tonight removed the 4.5 oz version of the above ebay item number I included. They didn't remove the 2 oz. version of the exact same product that is listed in the exact same category with exact same description. Confusing to say the least.
I been selling on ebay 21 years now I think. Only reason I haven't been kicked off for good I believe. I am not trying to push it. Its as if I am waiting to be fired any day . I will save the products that have "hemp seed oil extract' as an ingredient that ebay says contains THC and isn't allowed either for another day.
Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Trippy
