prepaid shipping label

started the purchase return process 1 week ago, trying to get prepaid shipping label to return package to Shanghai China,  no help from seller other than an address.  They will not prepay and deduct from refund.

I know  I've got to pay for the return;  communicated with ebay & paypal by text chat .

going in circles, getting nowhere fast

Buyer pays for return shipping if it is 'buyer's remorse'.

Seller pays for return shipping if the item is not as described, damaged, missing parts, etc.

price about  $30.

USPS est. shipping $15 w/o tracking

We're getting closer....what "reason" did you select when you opened the Return case?

Some reasons fall under 'buyer's remorse', some fall under seller liability.

If you chose "didn't like it" or "changed my mind" you pay return shipping.

If you chose "doesn't match description" or "doesn't seem authentic", seller pays return shipping.

I'm guessing you chose a buyer's remorse reason, in that case, the seller doesn't have any reason to prepay return shipping & deduct from the refund. That's not how it works. You would also have to have tracking to prove delivery back to China.  China to U.S. shipping is subsidized, so they get away with cheap cheap postage.  We don't have the same advantage shipping back to them.

It will cost you over $30.00 with tracking and tracking is necessary if you want a refund. Not worth returning.

Go to

My ebay > Purchase History

Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click
on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. Print
out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows
DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to
the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

If the seller is from another country, s/he will have to send enough funds to cover return shipping,
because the seller cannot provide a shipping label good in this country, or refund in full without having
you return the item. If the seller does neither, click on the link to Ask ebay to step in, when it shows up
in the case.
