< seller i purchased item from in december recieved an email stating i opened a dispute >
You purchased in December, but when did the item arrive? eBay allows disputes to be opened only within 30 days of an item's arrival. Who SENT that email, and was it in the seller's eBay Messages or was it in her/his outside email?
Your posting is time stamped "02-06-2022 07:07 AM" so your yesterday would have been 02-05 sometime. The item would have had to arrive after Jan 05 for a dispute to be opened. Otherwise, it's too late, referring to the 30-day window.
