maximum number of messages

I was going to send a custom a message letting them know their custom order was going to be delayed because of the storm. I had not messaged anyone else when I went to send the message this is what I was told by ebay" You have exceeded the maximum number of messages you can send. Please wait 24 hours to send more messages.

When did this happen and why?

I've only heard of that happening with newbies who've sent out numerous messages to sellers within a short period of time.  I think you must be experiencing a glitch.

Try sending the message using a different browser and/or sending it from the eBay Canada website:  www.ebay.ca/

That often bypasses the glitch.
