lost item buyer protection

If an item is Deemed LOST - under buyer protection does the refund come from EBAY or the seller? Seller shipped & tracking proves that.

Re: lost item buyer protection

If tracking does not show the item was delivered, the seller is responsible to refund the buyer.  eBay's Money Back Guarantee which still has the seller refund the buyer, does not cover when package is missing with the postal service.

Re: lost item buyer protection

Hi @deleo713

The refund comes from the seller ... who hopefully has purchased insurance for this purpose.

Has USPS proclaimed the package lost?  If not yet, maybe the buyer will give you some extra time to see if the package is eventually delivered.  Many packages get delivered after the buyer is refunded ... and the seller must then deal directly with the buyer in the hopes that they will be paid a second time.   Good luck!

Re: lost item buyer protection

Seller is responsible for the item until it is delivered to the buyer, so a refund will come from the seller.

Have a great day
