item damaged on delivery

I sold a glass bowl, it arrived damaged, photos show the box was crushed, obviously the customer wants their money back, i did that, but how do i file a claim with the post office, i thought all items under 100 included insurance. i tried repeatedly to ask ebay but can not get anywhere.

You file your claim on USPS.com.   Ask buyer to keep everything in case an inspection is required.  Also unless you packed it correctly or there is a note from the carrier on the package you likely will be denied.  First one is an automatic one, but you can appeal.
