incorrectly report I did not receive an item

I thought I had not received an item then found it in a stack of unopened mail.  I have spent too much of my time here trying to find a way to actually send a message (no way to do that from messages, only find ones sent to me). I don't get how this can be.  Very inconvenient.  No way to send eBay a message outside their specific categories.  What to do?

If you opened an item not received refund request go to the case and you can cancel/close it. You can find it under the returns tab on your purchase history.
