How can I find out if I have been blocked by a seller?

You find out by trying to purchase an item from them.  You'll receive a message something like 'The seller isn't accepting offers from you at this time' if the seller specifically blocked you.

Are you getting an error message when you try to buy from him/her or message him/her?  What does the error message say?

Why would you suspect your are blocked?

There is no other warning that eBay gives to let you know you are on a seller's Blocked Bidder/Buyer List until you try to do something you are blocked from doing.  You can try messaging the seller to ask (a seller has the option to block some messages from blocked buyers but not all do so).  Of course if you are not yet blocked and the seller has reason to maybe do so the message might be the proverbial straw, or might be the first s/he learns that s/he can do so, or serve as a reminder that s/he intended to do so.

I figure that this might be the reason. I don't know why they would. I went back to see maybe we exchanged emails and I said something they did not like but I did not see any emails exchanged.

I'd guess that s/he put you on his/her Blocked Bidder/Buyer List.  Usually if you run into one the seller's Buyer Requirement blocks it tells you which one (e.g. you have 2 or more unpaid item cancellations in the past 12 months or the seller limits purchases by a buyer to x in 10 days or refer to a 10 day limit by the seller).  But unfortunately eBay seems to be pushing error message and Help Page and Policy Page authors to be less helpful and more obscure, moving away from saying clearly what the error/rule actually is for whatever PR reason middle to upper management thinks will help eBay's bottom line.
