Are you searching on eBay.ca, instead of eBay.com ?
C$ stands for Canadian $'s.
Items listed for sale on eBay.ca are in C$, not US$.
You should also be seeing the estimated US$ equivalent in italics.

As far as I know I'm on ebay.com, how do I check that? Yes, I do see U.S. price listed below the other price but I always get charged the C price. The thing is I have been buying for years but it seems this has shown up in the past several months. How do I fix this, I'm not real computer smart.

Do you mind providing the eBay item # for the listing?

Dreamcatcher necklace #401418670877. This is only one of many items.

OK, that item was listed for sale on eBay.ca,
in C$,
by a seller registered in China.
It ships worldwide, so it would be searchable while on eBay.com
Chinese sellers list on a bunch of different eBay sites.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are using a browser while searching,
check the web address & make sure that you are on ebay.com, the US$ site.
If you are looking at a list of search results & see a US$ price in italics,
then that listing is actually in a currency other than US$
If you are looking at a listing page & see the price shown in 2 different currencies,
then it isn't a US$ listing.
eBay will show you the price in the listing's currency
& the estimated US$ equivalent.

All listings are in one and only one currency. On ebay.com most of the listings will be denominated in USD (US Dollars, displayed by ebay.com as "US $"), but those that aren't will have an "approximate"* conversion to USD under the actual price/bid in the currency of the listing or, on some pages, INSTEAD OF the actual price (this is the default setting on search results and in My eBay). Be aware that any bid/offer you make must be in the currency of the listing and when you pay the seller must be paid the full price in the currency of the listing (PayPal and other payment methods will convert your currency to the currency of the listing, but see below).
*Be aware the "approximate" in this case means ALWAYS too low: they are calculated using readily accessible "mid-market rate" quotes (an average of wholesale buy and sell rates of several large banks) while someone with funds in the approximately-converted-to currency (USD on ebay.com, GBP on ebay.co.uk) will have to pay someone their retail "buy rate" to pay the seller the correct price in the currency of listing; if PayPal does the conversion (and the new checkout popups on ebay.com seem to have done away with the ability to have PayPal bill your credit card in the currency of the listing, thus paying your credit card's possibly lower buy rate) its buy rate is 3% above mid-market at the time of payment (I think it calculates them once a day).

Thank you, I'm not sure I understand but I do know this has taken place starting several months ago, for years it wasn't like that.
