how can i refund excess shipping with new ebay payments

I want to refund $ back to the buyer for excess shipping charges.  How can I do that with the new ebay payment system?  The buyer isn't returning the item.  They are not requesting a refund, I am doing this as a courtesy to the buyer.  Thanks

Go to

Seller Hub > Orders > Paid & shipped

Locate the item.  Click the down-arrow.  Click Send refund.  Select a reason, enter the amount, Send.
