hi i might not make sense, but i dont see how sellers can ship a item for free when it shows what my shipping cost would be, like if i sell a 25.00 item i have 10.00 in the item leaves me 15.00 minus ebay fees maybe 11.00 but the shipping is from 17.00 to 62.50 so how are other sellers doing it,,even if i got the item for free i would go in the hole big time. so what am i missing

Some sellers work on narrow profit margins and have learned how to get the best shipping discounts.
The range you see for shipping is also the retail rate, which can be much higher than the ebay discounts rate, or the even lower PirateShip options. Go to the ebay calculator put in the numbers and select the ebay discount to see what you would pay.

You also might just be safer using Calculated Shipping on your listings, so buyer pays according to their Zip Code and lessen the risk of you losing money. Make sure in your Shipping Preferences you select to pass through your ebay discounts so buyers see more reasonable rates.
