forced to accept a return; forced to accept back a damaged item

I'm a seller who does not accept returns. Buyers can get around this by claiming an item is "not as described," i.e., if they lie. This recently happened to me and eBay forced me to accept the return. Customer Service told me I could file an appeal after receiving the item back, to contact them within 48 hours. Guess what? The item was returned worn and reeking of perfume. So, I recontact Customer Service, and they told me I had to issue the refund before they could open an appeal on my behalf. I did, and then nothing happened. Despite two chat transcripts proving the above, 5 phone calls, and multiple emails, I'm now told "sorry," the agents were all wrong and eBay will not refund for the damaged item I received back. This is infuriating. Apparently, it's now the policy to deceive sellers, repeatedly. Moving on!

No, they do not refund you if you receive a damaged item back.

Have a great day.

You can report a buyer here for misusing the ebay Money Back Guarantee to get free shipping for returning an item.

Then add that user ID to your blocked bidders list so it can't happen again.
