I received an email that requested I update my TaxID because I had been paid out $600 for my 1099K. It didn't look right or sound right because to get a 1099K you would need to have sold $20K or 200 sales. I went to my ebay account and verified these numbers by checking for 1099K. I deleted the email as a phishing attempt.

On my email account, it now has a banner to update my TaxID. So maybe it was real, but now I'm confused with 1099K reporting. So ebay now generates a 1099K at $600?
