eBay tracking service

I’ve been having major problems lately getting items that I’ve bought from people mainly baseball cards. I’m finding that the ESU….. tracking numbers never update. Is there any real solution to this ongoing issue?

eBay tracking service

@ma_ttcald   eBay standard envelopes do not have standard tracking.  It is only read by the sorting equipment and can not be scanned at the counter or by a mail carrier.

MANY of the standard envelopes do miss the scans.  This can happen because the seller made the envelope too stiff, or they didn't line the tracking up along the long side, or just because the sorting equipment missed it.  It will as scan as delivered before it actually goes out for delivery so delivery can be a couple of days after the delivery scan.

If your item is more than a couple of weeks late then file a refund request.

Look for the last estimated delivery date in your purchase history.  You can file a refund request when the item is at least a day late.    I suggest waiting a couple of weeks past the last estimated delivery date to allow for postal service delays.

Find your item here:

https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/get-help-item-hasnt-arrived?id=4042&st=2&pos=2&quer...

4 business days after you file the refund request ask ebay to step in and help if the seller has not refunded you.  If you do not ask ebay to step in and help then the case closes after 21 days and you lose.

You have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a refund request on ebay.

If it is over that you can file a refund request on PayPal up to 180 days from date of purchase.

File the claim here https://www.paypal.com/disputes/

Escalate the dispute to paypal if the seller doesn't refund you after a few days.    If you do not escalate the dispute the case closes after 20 days and you lose.

Or if you did not pay using PayPal you can file a chargeback with your bank or credit card.
