eBay money back guarantee

I just had an appeal closed for a purchase I never received and was told I would not get a refund. The seller sent the wrong item. I bought a child's archery bow and was sent a battery charger. I advised the seller and they acknowledged via eBay messaging they sent the wrong item. I still have not received the original purchase, went through the process to get the seller, @ivmor-9108, to help then eBay to help and both case and appeal were closed stating seller indicated the item was delivered. Why is eBay not looking at the messaging and facts. The guarantee states get what expect or money back. I can't give my girl a battery charger for her birthday and am running into dead ends with eBay. Please help!

You filed the WRONG request. You filed a Refund Request/Item not received. You need to file a RETURN Request.

  • Go to your Purchase History, find the item, and under “More actions” click on “Return item” and select the reason for the return. “wrong item received". Attach a photo.
  • The seller will have 3 business days to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item.
  • If they don't do either, you can go back to your Return Request details 4 business days after you filed the Request and ask Ebay to step in.

Thank you very much for your reply. I'll go back and request a return. The seller originally requested I not file a return and now has the listing marked as "returns not accepted". Hopefully either the seller or eBay will remedy the situation. Thank you again.

@lotusflwr

Ebay's Money Back Guarantee overrides the seller's "No returns" policy.
