I'm trying to add a Florida delivery address to my account over the last few weeks and each time I get an error message that the zip code is incorrect. I know it's correct as I've had items delivered there with out any problems.
Any ides/advice on how to cure this would be appreciated.
Many thanks and stay safe.

Yes, the state code only goes in the state field. I didn't know the Zip Code field would even accept characters, as it should be set to numeric only.
Glad you got it fixed and hope everything goes well for you.

Ebay error messages can be misleading. You problem may be with the Zip, the city, or even the address format. So first check and copy the official address format at USPS.com here:

Hi Rockstar,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I went on to the zip code look up and it came back with all the correct details including last 4 digits of the zip code, despite only accepting the first two characters and 5 digit zip.
Then tried again to add in to Ebay and it still got rejected, trying with and without the 4 digit extension, so still none the wiser as to what the problem is and how to resolve it.
So any other ideas to try will be most welcome.
Many thanks and stay safe

Clear you browser's cache and refresh the page. In each field manually delete the entire entry, then type (do not cut and past) the information in again.
Also when you looked up on USPS, was there other cities assigned to your Zip Code, if so, was yours first in the list?
Are you in a big city or a new development?

Hi Rockstar,
There were no other cities assigned the zip code, the address is in Miami FL
I'm actually trying to add my USA address from USAbox, a mail forwarding service as I'm finding a large number of US sellers won't ship to the UK. There's a couple of items I'm currently watching, where you can't even message the seller, even when the listing says to do so. There are some I can message and give them my FL address ,which aren't a problem.
As I said, I've already had a couple items sent there, not from Ebay, without any problems so I know the address is valid.
I will try what you suggest and let you know how I get on.

Since you are registered in the UK, your primary address has to be in the UK, but you should be able to enter a USA shipping address for the Ship To address entry. Is that where you are trying to add it or somewhere else?

Hi Rockstar,
Yes, that's what I'm trying to do, add a US shipping address to my account for buying from the US. I've already used it successfully for non ebay purchases so I know it's valid, and yes I'm trying to add it to the Ship to Address entry. Everything is accepted with out error apart from the zip code.

If you matched the USPS official address exactly, and still a problem, something else may be an issue with your account. Suggest you contact ebay here with a private message where the reps can better help you.
Just a side note, make sure your forwarder is tax exempt, or you will be paying Florida sales tax.

Ok thanks, will do, to both.
Thank you for all your help, even if it didn't solve the problem, at least you were able to give me a few things to try and point me in the right direction.
Many thanks and stay safe.

Hi Rockstar,
Just to let you know I PM'd Ebay, apparently the problem was I was including the FL characters in with the zip code, they advised me to try it without the FL in the zip code and it worked.
I also advised them that it wasn't clear that the alpha characters weren't required and they're going to pass this feedback to the Site Design team to see if a notification can be put on to say only the zip code digits are required.
Thought I'd let you know after all the help you gave me.
Once again, many thanks and stay safe.
