Why was I charged an insertion fee when it’s suppose to be free with my store

Why was I charged an insertion fee.  Aren’t we suppose to have 250 listings free from insertion fee’s?

Thanks for reply, seems high for a value fee they put it at 10.01 to go over the 10.00 that I priced it at.  That seems unethical to me.  First fee was 1.62 for value fee based on the ten with tax 10.84 then charged another 40 cents at the 10.01 they put on sale.  I know it’s a small amount, it’s the principle more so in this case to me.

Thanks again for reply.

Ahhh, so it was not an Insertion fee but eBay's regular Final Value fees and standard processing fee.

Here is a link to the Help page on Selling fees: Selling fees | eBay

You sold books which is a 14.95% FVF on $ 10.84 = $ 1.62 so that part is correct.

HI @2ndchanceware

Yes, that is correct.  On this page look over on the right, Recent activity.  This shows that a fee was charged and should explain what it was for:  Seller Hub | Your financial summary | eBay

It is possible it was an Upgrade fee not an insertion fee for one of your 56 items for sale.
