Why is there a category for hearing aids if they a prohibited?

I have sold many hearing aids on eBay in my 21 years on eBay why now do they take my auctions down??!!

Hearing aids are considered a persecution item and can not be sold on eBay.

I assumed it was Autocorrect which drives me nutz when I’m using my phone.  [I always wonder how many of my ‘corrections’ I fail to catch.]  LOL

Didn’t answer my question. Why is there a category for hearing aids if you can’t sell them?! There is even a sub category for the type of aids I am selling. There are thousands listed

Hearing aids that require a prescription are not allowed. Non-prescription devices are allowed.

Check the wording on listings that are still running. Perhaps you are required to put a statement in there if a prescription was never required for the devices you are selling.

eBay also has recently been restricting some categories (where ambiguity exists) to sellers who have already been selling an item on a regular basis. Perhaps this is one of those; although, in that case, they would block the item for being listed in the first place.
