I purchased a Nutcracker Soldier with Flag, Life Size Christmas Statue. 6 ft. I guess I got scammed because 3 weeks later the only thing they sent was a small box of socks. I want to get my $29.99 payment back from them. Can I? It was purchased from AB*overstockdeals .

eBay gift cards can only be used to make purchases on ebay.com.
If you purchased on ebay.com and paid with a gift card at checkout, you have a money back guarantee if an item is not as described.

If you provided gift card numbers directly to a scammer, your money would likely have been spent immediately, but such a scammer would not bother to send socks, or anything at all. The scammer would just spend the money on the card and disappear.
Sending something like socks is either a mistake by a legitimate seller (possibly a drop-shipper), another transaction entirely, or someone trying to avoid an "item not received" case, since the delivery of socks would provide a tracking number that can be used to prove delivery was made.
