What is up with the search engine here anyone know?

Hi @marble1958

eBay’s search engine has definitely changed over the past few years.
It now uses a system called "Cassini," which doesn’t just show results based on exact words anymore.
It tries to predict what buyers might mean, not just what they type — using relevance, past user behavior, item popularity, and even promoted listings as factors.

That means sometimes you don't see exactly what you expect.
Also, eBay adjusts search results depending on device (mobile vs desktop), buyer’s location, and even personal browsing history.

If you’re noticing strange search results, it’s not just you — it’s how eBay’s system is currently designed to work.

If you want better results, I recommend using very specific keywords, turning on filters manually (like "lowest price," "newly listed," etc.), and avoiding general broad terms.
