Website logging you out and refreshing the page

Not really sure if this is a big issue for most or if anyone has encountered any problems with this, nor is this really a question. I'm mostly seeing if anyone else has had similar issues. I didn't know where else to report this, spent 10 minutes arguing with the AI trying to get any contact information and kept blaming the seller, when this had nothing to do with the seller.

Anyway, I had some items I was watching, and one seller had made an offer for 25% off on an item. The website still clearly displayed I was logged in and I went to add the item in my cart for purchase. Looked over the price, seemed good, then when I went to pay, the website apparently decided to log me out and told me to log back in, causing the page to refresh. After logging back in, I assumed the price was still the same and continued to purchase it. Didn't even see the updated price until after I had looked through recently purchased and it was paid in full instead of at the discounted offer. Not sure if it even displayed the full price after relogging back in, but it's kind of annoying to have to relog back into your account, when you wouldn't even be seeing an offer from a saved seller if you weren't logged into your account in the first place. Typically, it usually happens about once per day, I'll open up the website and it displays I'm logged in, then it will make me log back into my account sometimes if I'm searching for something specific, messaging a seller, or trying to make a purchase. I can see it maybe as a security thing but maybe ask for you to log in before viewing your cart or something, instead of this happening mid purchase.

I already messaged the seller about possibly getting a partial refund on the extra amount spent, but I also don't think the seller should be burdened because of something like this.

I suppose I should have been paying more attention to the order screen after logging back in, but I honestly don't think the price showed the full until after I had already paid.

Again, this is more of a minor issue and nothing too crazy, but I figured I would ask the community or at least see if anyone else is having similar website issues. I'm still relatively new to eBay and plan to start a store on here in the future, but I don't want something minor like the website logging you out, to cause issues in payments or voiding offers. I originally wanted to submit a ticket about this fault on the website, but I can't seem to be able to message anyone unless it's to report a seller or report an item, in which case is neither of those. I do apologize if this ends up being an issue on my part, but I just felt like something like this should be shared.

Repeated sign-in requests or sign-in failures might be a sign that your browser is having problems saving cookies properly, or else a sign of a network issue. Using a VPN or a hotspot, or certain kinds of privacy software might also cause some issues.

Make sure your browser is up-to-date and has JavaScript enabled (and not blocked) and that cookies are not being blocked:

https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

Try using a different browser or a private or incognito browser window and see if you run into the same Captcha issues. If not, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies once in your original browser.

If you are using an ad blocker, try temporarily disabling it to see if that makes a difference.

Or try using the eBay app.

If you contact eBay directly, mention ALERT15299 to have your account added to the open ticket.

In order to use an offer link in an email, you must be signed in to the same eBay account that received the offer, which may be a concern if you have more than one eBay account. And you must use the "Review offer" link to check out, otherwise you will pay full price if you check out in the standard way.
