Vero Inquiry

Hello I am new to eBay and I listed an older model multipure water filter that is unopened and new to anyone who buys it. The issue is I am getting emailed by multipure telling me to list it as an opened box item and that I am in violation of eBay's Vero policy. I changed my listing and multipure is still contacting me. I told them that I don't want to list it as opened because that may have a negative effect on someone buying it but I did detail that it was an older model and that I am individual selling them and that I am not affiliated with multipure. Should I do as they say or wait until eBay steps in?  I'm not trying to be difficult but I am wondering if I am doing anything wrong because I don't feel like I am.  I have done what they asked except for putting it down as opened box and used. It isn't so why would I lie about that. It seems a little suspicious to ask someone to do that. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi @srcrow-32

emails or eBay messaging?  Nobody has your email address and eBay messaging keeps that information secure for you.

I see 29 listings by just using a search for Multipure water filter.  They range from new to used to open box.  If there is a VeRO violation eBay will take your listing down.  If you are getting eBay messages and not emails add that member to your blocked list on this page:  Buyer management | eBay

Re: Vero Inquiry

Thank you for the information. I had my notifications set to my email but have changed it to only receive messages here on the eBay platform. I'm not sure but from what I read my and the other party's email should be a series of numbers for example 12345568893 @ebay.com but I see their user name and it is identifying information which I won't put here but it is addressed from @ebay.com and this is in my Gmail account and it is my email address that it is sent to. I hope it is because I had my notifications set to email me when a buyer or other member messages me from eBay. Other than that I will do what you suggested and I am working on rewording my listings just to avoid any violations in case I am actually violating a policy. I appreciate your response and it is very helpful. I am going to block them because they emailed or messaged me every single time I relisted a revised item. Thanks again.
