Using sell similar with listing from another country

I'm trying to use sell similar with a listing from Canada, and I am in the US. While the listing correctly shows my location, I'm not seeing any way to convert the currency in the listing to US. Can this be done, or do I need to copy and paste to create a new listing.

Re: Using sell similar with listing from another country

@parkfit   You can't use "sell one" on a listing from another country or the currency for the listing will be incorrect.  You have to use sell one like this from a US listing.    It can be an active or sold listing.

You can copy titles from other listings if you use copy and paste but you can't copy descriptions.  This is because the title and category are what is copied when you use sell one like this.

Sell one like this also copies the item specifics so be sure they are correct for your listing or you need to edit them.

Re: Using sell similar with listing from another country

You are not allowed to copy and paste item descriptions and photos from someone else's listing - that would be a copyright violation. The only things that are copied when you use sell similar from another seller's item are the category, title. item specifics, and some shipping information. If you are not the original seller, you should be checking to make sure all of what is copied is actually accurate. If you cannot change the currency type, you'll need to start a fresh listing.

Re: Using sell similar with listing from another country

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, it's an unusual item, so there are no other similar listings. I'll just go ahead a create a new one. I appreciate your help.

Re: Using sell similar with listing from another country

Thank you. Yes, I'm aware of the fact that when you use "sell similar" you need to update all information to be your own. I don't use other people's listings or photographs, particularly, since I sell used items. Unfortunately, it turns out that you can't change the currency, so I will have to do my own "sell similar" into a new listing. I appreciate the response.
