Using Brand names for unbranded items

When I first started selling on Ebay I had an item taken down because I referenced a brand name. I said the sandals looked like the old Dr. School's sandals.

But there is a seller using "Anthropologie" in the title of every item but they are unbranded items, no tags, no nothing. I purchased an item and I did see her say that all tags were removed but I assumed (wrongly) that she meant store tags, price tags, not any tag inside the garment that showed fabric and brand etc.

I of course kept the item but feel very misled. I search for a particular brand because I know about the item quality, how it will fit, etc.

Since Ebay used to remove posts referring to brands for items not of that brand, how does it deal with posts that I feel are misleading and dishonest?

You can not use a brand name unless it is actually that brand.  You can report an item that misuses a brand name - every item has a report link in the right margin.

Select listing practices/search and browse manipulation/misusing a brand name.
