Unpaid item, buyer says its been paid?

Was following up with buyer on my unpaid item list to remind him about the payment (purchased 3 days ago).  He writes me back & states he paid it & checked his ebay account saying it shows the item to be paid.

Has anyone ever had this happen?

Asked him to verify the the item and me as the seller (I have had buyer mix-up payment thinking they paid but it was someone else).  He insists its paid.

Tried to contact ebay but they NEVER call me back - This is another huge issue as I have not been able to contact ebay in over a year.  The only option I am given is for them to call me back.  They say they tried but my phone NEVER rings, there is never a call registered on my phone from them & I have tried dozens of times over the last year to no avail.

If there is no payment showing in your payment details and ebay has not given you the ok to ship, then you were not paid.

Let the buyer file a dispute with ebay, if he thinks he paid.

Some sellers do report not being able to get a call back, not sure why - have you tried the live chat instead?

That's what I use so I have a record, and it works well.

Thanks for your reply, I have used live chat a couple of times but that option was not available today??  I guess sometimes its there & sometimes not.  I kept trying to find it, but the only thing that came up was the automated assistant which is really worthless.  A couple of times when I started with the automated version it would refer me to a live person but today the only option available was for Ebay to call me.  Tried it 4 times & gave up.

Thanks for your reply, I clicked on the link provided & looked through my payments & there it was - it shows that the item was paid (in fact amount was processed & paid out)!!!  But it is clearly still on my UPAID item list (with warning not to ship)??  Not really sure what is going on.

As it turns out there is a payment shown in the "Payments" tab detail.  According to that the buyer is correct it was paid for on 12/17 but it is still showing in the Awaiting Payment listing on the seller hub?  If I go to Orders it shows no payment?  I do not know what is going on but it really makes me question Ebays system.
