Trying to return item but my item not showing on ebay

I have bought an item on ebay and am trying to return it but when I try and do this on the help page my item is not listed.  Can anyone help me.  Ebay is useless at helping anyone, can't speak to anyone and can only talk to a stupid android.

This is a member to member forum, i.e., responders are not eBay employees, and we cannot look into your account.  To be able to help you, we must have more information.  The item number would be best. 

 

If you're talking about not finding your item pictured on https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/return-item-refund?id=404... that might mean that your window of opportunity for the return has expired.  For example, for trading cards, if the seller doesn't accept returns, then there are only 3 days to open a Not As Described dispute.

Hi thank  you for that answer.  However, I've been in touch with the seller and he just keeps saying I have to generate a returns label from my end.  I've told him the item I bought from him is not showing up so am waiting to hear from him, but unfortunately he's not very helpful.  Fingers crossed.  I'll never buy from ebay again:(

Hi @equilibrium09wendy  You didn't buy from eBay.  You bought from an independent seller who pays to list his items on eBay.  If the seller is telling you to generate a return label, it may mean he wants you to pay the return shipping.  You don't say why you want to return the item, so that may be the correct protocol.  How long ago did you buy it?  That is the most relevant factor that determines whether or not it's eligible for a return.  If it's been more than 30 days, you may be outside the return window.  Good luck!

Hi - thank you for your reply.  I've actually heard from ebay customer service now and they have given me the relevant info.  I only recieved the item last week and the seller is fine for me to send it back but will not tell me how to do it.  Ebay are resolving the problem.
