Trouble with eBay notifications

As a longtime but low volume seller, I do not check eBay daily and instead rely on an email to notify me of a sale. When I sold an item Dec 31st, I received NOTHING from ebay. A week later I saw my bank account received a credit from eBay, and I found out about the sale. Wow. Then digging into my eBay account communication preferences I saw that the checkmark to notify me about a sale was unchecked! I have not touched these settings in years. Apparently eBay's info technology people did some software changes and wiped out my settings! This is a very bad IT error (who likes it when their phone loses important settings after an upgrade?) Has anyone else had problems with eBay notifications?

It's happened a few times over the years for me. The problem can be on the eBay side or with your email provider. This is why you need to check eBay at least once daily when you are a seller (regardless of that setting).
