I sold an item to a buyer in California this past Friday. The buyer messaged me and asked me if I could ship the item on Wednesday, because she was going on a mini vacation and didn't want the item to sit on her door step while she's gone. I have a one day handling, so I got a ding for not shipping item on Monday. I did chat with ebay online prior to mailing he item and they assured me they would remove the defect once it hit my account. I talked to them today and they said they can't remove it. Next time I will l cancel the sale and have them re-buy after I change the handling time. Help!! What should I do?

Hi @boomersgeneralstore , has the item been delivered yet? If it's delivered by the estimated delivery date, then the late shipment defect won't count.
Next time, an alternative to cancelling/re-buy is to tell the buyer she can have USPS hold her package for either pickup or delivery later.

Just ship the item according to the time YOU set on the listing. that is what ebay goes by. The buyer will need to take care of things on their end.
