Tracking uploaded but no carrier scan - I'm being penalized for the failure of the USPS

I have two issues.

1, When I ship items using the USPS most of the time I have no problem. However occasionally 1 or 2 times a month the folks at the post office don't bother to scan my packages. Due to my health I can't stand in the long line to ask the clerk to scan them and because they are prepaid I just drop them in the slot. They often get scanned at he next stop which makes them late per eBay.

2, I have items that sell for $4-$5 which makes sending them with a service that includes scanning such as Priority Mail, the shipping cost is more than the item. Therefore I ship them first class in a padded envelope for which the USPS doesn't offer scanning.

These two events are what cause me to teeter on and off the "Top Rated Seller" level every month or so.

It would be great of eBay would loosen up on this requirement for seller defects.

Just sounding off as I don't expect eBay to do anything to address this issue.

First class packages do get scanned.  If you are shipping multiple packages per day, make sure to use bulk shipping and then print a SCAN form. The form gives the po a single barcode to scan that will record the acceptance scan on all of the packages.

Talk to your post master and ask where can you drop off your packages with your SCAN form so they the form gets scanned.

Or if you can have your packages ready before your mail carrier normally arrives, arrange for him to pick up your packages from your home and he will scan the SCAN form.  Go to usps.com to register and set up carrier pickup.  I love package pickup 🙂
