Tracking Report dysfunctions

I have 5 strikes against me in the Tracking Report, none of which are my fault at all. Three of them started at near Midnight on 6/26/21 which is Saturday Night. The post office here on Saturday is closed at Noon. So there was nothing to do until Monday when the Post Office opened again. I had put them in the Outside Bin and it wouldn't have sped things up at all to put them inside the Post Office as even on Monday the mail wouldn't move or maybe even be scanned until that afternoon. The other two strikes happened on weekdays and again, there was failure to pick them up and scan them in a timely fashion. I have come to learn that on 3 of these packages, it took the Post Office an additional 2 more days beyond them actually picking them up to get around to scanning the packages. How is this my fault? If you read my reviews you'll see I ship extremely fast. I've contacted the Postmaster Generals Office and filed a complaint there about this failure of the Post Office to honor the level of shipping I have paid for but you know how Govt. Agencies are, right? Again, none of these events are my fault. I tend to use the outside box to avoid being among others due to the Covid outbreak as I'm considered to be in the high risk catagory due to existing medical conditions. Even though I am vaccinated, it is still possible to contract Covid and I'd rather not if that's ok. So now it appears I have to go inside, stand in there with the non-vaccinated and no mask wearing people to make sure the Post Office does its job and scans the package so as to not get more strikes against me for something that is clearly the fault of the USPS. Sure, makes perfect sense right?

Re: Tracking Report dysfunctions

Oh, I would have liked to talk to a human but after attempting to get 2 phone calls I never did hear from anyone. The chat assistant directed me to ebay.com/sellerhelp which was no help at all. What has a guy got to do around here to get a lil justice???

Re: Tracking Report dysfunctions

I got a call from a human who told me these would be removed as it is clear these were not my fault.

Re: Tracking Report dysfunctions

Since this started, I have stopped using the outside drop boxes at the post office and now hand it directly to the postal clerk. I also changed my handling time to one day instead of the same day it always was....none of which has stopped me from catching "failure to upload" tracking errors.

Ebay has admitted this has been a problem they are aware of and the post office gives you chin music for a reason, so it appears I will continue to catch tracking errors even though it is borne of nothing I am doing wrong or could prevent.

Perfect!!

Re: Tracking Report dysfunctions

Print a SCAN sheet for the clerk to scan.  Our post offices require every person to wear a mask, and I stand in line for my SCAN sheet to get scanned.  Often there is a clerk who will signal me to come over to get my SCAN sheet scanned so I don't have to stand in line.

Re: Tracking Report dysfunctions

Dunno about all that, but I no long use the outside box as I have learned in MS it may be several days before that package is scanned. I don't use the inside slot either for the same reason. I now hand it directly to the clerk who scans it in showing exactly when the item left my hands. Since then, no more late marks. USPS...doing less for more. I also hear FedEx and UPS are going to merge to handle the excessive amounts of packages that are shipped now. Their new name will be "FedUp".....LOL
