Top seller to above standard: no discernable reason. "Help" is bogus. Today 99% to 98.9%

No help at help. same old crap:  "We're here for you" (unless you ask something)   "Learn how to regain top seller".  **bleep**,  nothing but "we have parameters"  and somehow, stupid, you stepped on one.   I love (!!!) my feedback !!!.   My sales are typically shipped within one day, sometimes within minutes.  Ebay offers pablum to somebody who is trying to DO IT RIGHT and have some fun.   It is really too bad that there's only one game in town.

Feedback has nothing to do with seller level.  Go to your dashboard to see where you are not meeting the top rated standard - https://sellerstandards.ebay.com/dashboard?region=US

Feedback has no meaning, huh? In brick & mortar, the walking customer, then, has less impact on a retail business than landlord, right? My buyer has more respect for me than my landlord which is eBay. I worry about satisfying my customer because eBay cannot be satisfied

I didn't say feedback had no meaning, I said it has nothing to do with seller level. We have to please both the customer and the landlord 🙂

Thanks for the tip.

"dashboard" pretty much useless.   560 feedbacks received.  243 transactions (?) with "transaction defect rate" of 2.  (what's that mean?)   Tracking uploaded on time and validated: 51 of 59 transactions or 86.44% (note: EVERY sale includes "buyer feedback" telling of tracking number). "total transactions: 228  but "not as described  .88%"  which is above "peers" at .57%.  Late ship: 0%  Cases closed w/o resolution: 0%. Advised to "go to Dashboard for help to improve".  "less than $40.00 = 2 of 161 or 1.24%,  $40.00 to $100.00 = 1 of 70 or 1.43%, more than $100.00 = 1 of 10 or 10%.  What does THAT mean and what can I do to improve?  Or, what is wrong?  This tabulation is for 241 transactions.  Dashboard tells me that I got more feedbacks than transactions but I can't quite figure out how many transactions are involved.

By the way, one of my 2 negative feedbacks was from an idiot (yes, they're out there) well over a year ago but still shows up as "within 12 months".   What's THAT about?

But, ebay is still the only game in town so if ya wanna play ya gotta use their ball.

If I got BAD feedback, would it count against me?

No, feedback does not factor into seller level.  Buyers use feedback to judge sellers, but that is a different issue. I see only 1 negative now, so the second has rolled out of the 12 month calculation.

All that info is hard to read in 1 big paragraph, but I did see Tracking uploaded on time and validated: 51 of 59 transactions or 86.44%. To be top rated you must have 95% uploaded on time and validated. If you click the arrow next to the % in that section, you can see how many were not uploaded, uploaded late or not scanned.

The transactions with defects of 2 means you’re not being evaluated on those 2 yet - I think you need 3 before the calculation kicks in. I can check if you want the info.

The service metrics are another issue and will not cause you to not be top rated, but it can raise your fees if you are very high compared to your peers.

Your 560 feedback includes your feedback as a buyer - only 189 of those are as a seller.

I think you need to take one issue at a time.
