Recently, my eBay seller account was suspended, a decision I respect as it is within eBay's right to manage their platform as they see fit. However, the circumstances surrounding the suspension have left me in a challenging situation that I am struggling to resolve.
Before my account was suspended, I had sold an item to a customer in Italy. The item was listed for £120, but the customer ended up paying a total of £180, including delivery fees and customs charges. While I found the additional charges excessive, the customer proceeded with the purchase, and I promptly shipped the item to Italy.
A week later, my eBay account was suspended without any explanation provided. Despite my efforts to seek clarification from eBay, I have been unable to determine the reason for the suspension. To compound the issue, the customer in Italy requested a partial refund from eBay due to an error in the description, but eBay granted a full refund of £180 without consulting me.
As a result, my eBay account now shows a debit of £60, and I am left without the laptop I sent to Italy. Despite my attempts to resolve the matter with eBay, they have informed me that there is nothing they can do to assist me further.
I am at a loss as to how to proceed from here. I have been left in a difficult financial situation and without recourse for the loss of my item. If anyone in the eBay community has faced a similar situation or has any advice or suggestions on how I can address this matter, I would greatly appreciate your input.

I wonder why you didn't refund the Italian buyer for paying too much .
Ebay never explains why they suspend a customer. So the only thing you can do is asking what you can do to end the suspension.
The Italian buyer didn't ask eBay for a partial refund, but you. At least that is what I think. Not a proper respond from you can lead to an action from eBay, like you experienced.
I suggest that you use social media to ask what you can do to end the suspension. As said: don't ask why.
Contact eBay's Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter. Find how to send eBay a private message on https://Facebook.com/eBay or https://Twitter.com/AskeBay Keep it brief.
If you don't have an account, you have to make one. Facebook is the easiest.

When I contacted EBay the customer service representative said that the customer asked for a partial refund and regards to my account suspension, I'm not to bother but eBay has over £1500 of my funds held up. Any minor customer issue they just refund the customer.

Yes, eBay refunds the customer if you don't. Without asking permission from the seller.
That is normal procedure.

I think you missed my point but thank you for your reply

Maybe I missed your point.
It's difficult to understand that eBay has over £1500 of your funds held up.
