Stolen property. What proof is needed

Someone says I have an item that was stolen from them years ago. What proof is needed?

-How did you acquire the item in question?

-Is it really rare or where many of them made?

-Has eBay taken the listing down or is the message from another member?

-If you know it was not a piece of stolen property add the member to your blocked list:  Buyer Management | eBay

Be sure to check the boxes to apply your settings to active and future listings AND to block communication from them.

-If eBay is asking for proof you need the original receipt for the purchase
