Sold first item what is next step

Hello, 

I am new to EBay and just sold my first item.  What are the next steps after accepting the offer? Do I take the item to the post office to see what the shipping cost will be? When do I send the buyer the invoice? Do I wait to ship the item after I receive payment? Thank you.

Ebay will let buyer know they need to pay, if they haven't yet.

If the buyer has paid and you've checked to make sure the payment is in your MP account and the order is waiting to be shipped, you buy a shipping label and ship the item.

You can either buy your shipping label through Ebay or pay for it when you drop it off.

If you buy your labels through Ebay you can use the buyers payment to pay for the labels.

If you buy your shipping label at the PO, you'll have to mark the order as shipped and enter the tracking number for the order.
