Shipping settings for selling an item does not match what eBay is charging me

Hi @exuvs

While the USPS First Class Letter is a choice it is not a tracked service nor does eBay allow regular letter postage to be purchased through them.

They do have the eBay Standard Envelope which is Meter Mail but what it can be used for is limited ... like your poker chips would not qualify.  eBay standard envelope | eBay

You are also at risk for losing Not received claims from Buyers if you ship without tracking.  You can always keep doing what you are doing but put stamps on the letters you send, but there may be an additional charge if the letter is too thick.

as to the question, "why does eBay offer that service but not support it when a sale is made?"  I have no answer for that one.

Need more details.  What are you setting the option for in the listing?

Are you asking about the first class shipping you selected for the poker chips?  ebay does not print labels for first class shipping, as it does not come with tracking.  You will either have to use postage stamps or pay at the post office counter.  If the buyer files an Item Not Received case, you will end up refunding item price + shipping since you have no tracking to prove Delivery.
