Shipping options

Is there a way to have Media Mail selected for media items only as a method of shipping?  We have customers choosing media mail for non-media items because it is cheaper.  I have books for sale that qualify for media rate so I have that set as a shipping choice, but customers are choosing it for clothing.  Any help would be appreciated.

It is simply NOT possible for a buyer to choose media mail unless YOU chose to offer it as a shipping option on your listing. Buyers can only choose from the choices you offer.

Thank you. How can I keep items that are NOT media mail from choosing that option?

YOU choose the shipping options when you make your listing.

I do and it changes options for all items. I must be missing a step.

Revise each listing individually  that does not qualify for MM.

I spot checked a few of your listings and do not even see MM as an option for your book listings.

If the packaged item weighs 13 ounces or less, only offer first class package.  For packaged items heavier than 13 ounces, only offer priority mail.  For packaged items that qualify for media mail, offer only that option.

Yes. I eliminated it today since it was an option on all our listings. Have to figure out how to get in only on the books. When I add  media mail, the system adds it to all our items.   There is some step I am missing.
