I sold an item and it estimated shipping costs to be $12.00. Buyer paid shipping in that amount. I went to print the label and it shows $40.47 for shipping. This is a small 5 pound item. I know this cannot be accurate and there was a glitch this morning that wasn’t allowing any labels to print for several hours. I can’t even figure out how to get a live agent with eBay to discuss. Can someone help?

You might try Pirate Ship as an alternative. It's free to use and integrates with eBay.

Thanks! I think the issue you linked in this thread was the inability to print the labels. I was finally able to print but massively overcharged on shipping costs and unsure how to get that resolved. I will definitely looking into alternate shipping options going forward.

Check the size and weight parameters you used in the listing and compare that to the size and weight you entered when purchasing your label. There is a mismatch somewhere. A five pound item isn't going to ship to too many places for only $12.00. And if it's oversized, there are surcharges added.
