Shipping Claims

I sold a very high $$$ item and it arrived damaged.  I of course had insurance on the item and informed the buyer not to throw anything away and I would need pictures of everything.  I gave a list of what I needed as far as pictures for the UPS insurance and got everything but what I needed.  Turns out they threw away a lot of the packing material.  Cut the label off the box and threw it away.....and this is one of the pictures they require.  What can I do here when UPS denies this claim because the buyer has done everything I ask them not to do.  HELP!

Re: Shipping Claims

@sanric135   Unfortunately there's nothing you can do other than refund the buyer as the insurance is for the seller.  The buyer is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Sorry that your buyer didn't co-operate with you.   You can write off the loss on your taxes.

If you don't refund before the buyers asks eBay to step in then eBay will force a refund and you will get defect, and you won't get your sellers fees back.

I have never had to file UPS claim.  With USPS I just give them a photo of the order details that shows the item price, the buyers info and has the tracking number on it.
