I have never used ebay before, but my husband and I really wanted the NES mini. Long story short, we found someone in our area that was selling one. All the pictures looked legit and the seller was really nice. When I made the payment via ebay, I received a "secure code". Now, I understand that is a pickup code. I had no idea what it was at first. When I returned to my purchase, I saw a different code. The seller was saying goodnight and said he would need the code at pickup. I told him I actually had received 2 different codes. He asked for the codes. Not knowing what they were at that time, I gave them to him thinking he needed to confirm something on his end. Once I did, the item was marked as though I had picked it up. Did I screw up and give him just what he needed to scam me?

Possibly, but have you tried to arrange pick up with the seller? I don't think you know for sure yet. It sounds like he did say he needed the code at pick up, not before, so being an optimist, I'd give him a chance to let you pick up your item. I don't know why you would get 2 codes, except that you also get a QR code along with the 6 digit code.
Since you made the payment electronically, you will be able to file a dispute through your credit card, if needed. I assume eBay won't be able to help, since you gave him the code, but if you haven't received your item in 10 days I would try to open a dispute through eBay first. Once you go to your card issuer, eBay can no longer help. I think 10 days is what eBay allows for a local pick up.
