Setting up shipping on a listing that has multiples for sale.

How do you setup your listing when the item you are listing has multiples and buyer may choose more than one? I have my listing setup with the weight and size of one item. I noticed that eBay calculates the weight, but not the package size. When you change the package size it increases the shipping price to more than buyer has paid.
