Set default to USA in item location

When I do a search for an item the item location is set to “default” and sometimes I forget to change it to USA. How do I permanently set the item location option in search to USA?

If you are using the eBay app, there is a setting under the Filter Customize menu that enables Lockable Filters. That allows you to lock your filter settings to be the default search behavior by tapping a padlock icon when you set your filter option.

If you are using a browser, there are no lock options for Item Location.

However, if you are using certain desktop browsers, you may be able to use a third-party add-on such as "eBay item location -- my country only" which allows you to override eBay's "default" item location.

Great answer. Thanks for your reply.  I do think that Ebay should allow you to set defaults in the users profile.
