Sent wrong item

I was sent a different table than I ordered. Ebay is insisting I need to drag a 30+kg box to my local postoffice despite being physically handicapped and is insisting on a reimbursement rather than sending me the item I ordered which has now increased in price. They have also offered no compensation for their and their seller's mistake. The German office is useless and simply repeats the same thing over and over again and the local office in Bern speaks German exclusively. I need help here...

Ebay cannot force a replacement. You need to file a Return Request, use the prepaid shipping label to ship the item back to the seller for a full refund. Can you find someone to help take it to the shipper? Can the shipping company provide pick up?

 

By the way, you are on the Ebay U.S. site.

I am on the US one as the Swiss and German ones are absolutely USLESS...

 

They will not send someone to pick it up through a transport company and insist I send it through the postoffice. They supplied me with the return label etc but I will have to pay and wait to be reimbursed for the return shipping. 

Regarding the reimbursement, the item I ordered has increased in price so basically I'll get no compensation for their mistake, will have to drag this to the post office and will have to pay more to fix it... this is ridiculous.. and absolutely the last time I will ever use Ebay for anything...

If you filed a Return Request for a valid reason that is covered by Ebay's Money Back Guarantee, you should NOT have to pay for the return shipping.

  • The seller will have 3 business days to either approve the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item.
  • If the seller’s return shipping address is in another country, they will have to send enough funds to cover the return shipping,  or they can refund in full without having you return the item. If the seller does not provide the label or any funds to cover shipping, click on the link in the Return Request to   ask Ebay to step in, when it shows up in the case.

Thank you, this was very helpful in getting Ebay moving. They are giving the seller a 2nd chance to respond and will reimburse me without trying to force me to pay to send the table back if the seller doesn't supply prepaid labels for the return. Have a great day
