The auction I am referring to in this post had ended. I have paid the seller in full thru PayPal Credit.
The seller is asking for additional funds to accommodate my request that he/she double box an item and ship UPS instead of FedEx. I made this request from the seller before I bid on the auction. He/she agreed.
Now, I do not have a problem sending the seller extra money. I believe my requests added a considerable amount to the shipping cost.
My question is..... if I send the seller the extra money outside of ebay, does that jeopardize me losing the ebay money back guarantee of the purchase price of the deck if there is a problem with the deck?
I'm not concerned about the extra money for shipping being in jeopardy, it will be less than $ 100.00. But the purchase price of the tape deck is over $ 1.000.00. It is that amount I want to stay protected.
