Selling to someone with a PO Box

I sold an item to someone with a PO Box and the USPS rate went up exponentially when I went to purchase my label. Does this happen when it's going to a PO Box? I couldn't figure out any other reason why it would do this. Also, where can I change my requirements to refuse buyers to purchase my items when they have a PO Box? Thank you!

Hi @61sadierose

What are you comparing the label cost with?  If it is the shipping amount you see when you look at your own listing … then you would expect to see an increase … unless the buyer lives in the same ZIP Code as you.

Unless you prefer to ship via UPS or FedEx … there is no reason to block buyers with PO Boxes.  It actually is safer to shop to PO Boxes, since the package will not be stolen by ‘porch pirates’.

But if you insist on blocking PO Boxes … then you would do that from your Buyer Requirements.
