I've been on ebay since 1999, have sold and purchased many higher ticket items. I used to be able to list high $ items without fear of running past my limits. I have a near flawless record yet capped at $1M limit. At the same time I see people who are on ebay for no where near as long but have items costing MILLIONS of dollars, that are WORTHLESS, $50M for a modern work of art by an unknown artist? I have legitimate items, some I do not know the value but know it could be extreme, so I have to pick and choose what I decide to list. These types of items can take a LONG TIME to sell, but I can't even offer them because they suck up the limits.
I recently asked for a higher limit and was pretty much ignored. I have domains, artwork, business concepts, these are valuable intellectual properties yet I am capped at $1M. By listing just 1 $1M item, I can't list anything else. So I feel like I am suppressed, yet I see many other sellers with items for MULTIPLES of MILLIONS that will NEVER SELL!??????????????
Do you have to know someone to get a higher limit?
Here's one for 99MILLION! Actually 2 by the SAME SELLER, at $99,000,000 MILLION! EACH!!!!!! That's a 198M JUST FOR TWO! I have been on here for 25 Years with ABOVE STANDARD practices. Seriously? Oh, this seller has 9 for 99MILLION EACH, THAT's A BILLION$!!!!!!!!!!!

After 25 years of being a top rated seller, power seller, yeah, remember those days, and all I have credit to list in 2024 is 1/100th of what some sellers ask for just 1 item that has a highly questionable value.

My limit is $50 million. If I had something so valuable, there is no way I would risk selling it online.

Then what do you need a 50M limit for? You make no sense.
