Selling Limit

Hi, I'm new to selling on Ebay, I've sold 30 items, with 16 great reviews, Ebay has set my selling limit at 7k, for December and I'm almost at that point. I requested an increase, however, they didn't give me one yet, is this common?  How long does it generally take to get a selling increase? I've spoken to other sellers and they have very large selling limits, and a couple are newer sellers.  Thank you, just trying to figure this out.

Re: Selling Limit

There isn’t an absolute rule - it used to be about 90 days before you were eligible for an increase.  $7k is actually a very high starting limit.  Many new sellers start at $500.

Some people believe that the best way to get a limit increase is to use up your limit, then try to list another item and let the system tell you no.  I don’t know if it works or not.
